Well Dressed for Fourth of July!

With the holiday weekend quickly approaching, as with any big weekend, my first thought is always, “what am I going to wear?” Yours too? Well, no matter what your plans entail, I’ve got you covered (literally!). I pulled aside my outfit choices for the weekend ahead and thought I’d share with you in case you’re needing some inspiration for the perfect ensemble. Hope you all had a great weekend and thank you for reading!

BBQ Essentials

Comfort is key! A cotton dress like this one will be most breathable and you can’t beat the comfort of Birkenstocks! Don’t forget to stay hydrated in between your adult beverages – coconut water is my favorite!

Sundry dress; Birkenstocks; Clare Vivier clutch, Ray Ban sunnies; By Terry lip balm; Eugenia Kim hatTara Hirshberg wings necklace; coconut water (my favorite beverage!)

Sightseeing Essentials

This sweater is cotton and totally breathable – great option for looking polished and as an alternative to a t-shirt on a hot day. The humid Michigan summers don’t agree with my hair and Aveda smooth infusion does a great job battling the frizz.

Cardigan sweater (on sale!); NSF shorts; Clare Vivier clutch; Illesteva sunnies; Soludos espadrilles; Aveda smooth infusion

Boat Day Essentials

Nautical stripes of course! This outfit is also a great option as a bathing suit coverup. Unlike other Equipment tops, this one is cotton so it’s way more hot-weather friendly than their usual silk versions.

Equipment blouse; Rag & Bone shorts; Céline sandals; Hat; Céline box bag

Fireworks Essentials

It gets cold at night in Michigan so it’s important to layer but still look summery.

Pam & Gela sweatshirt (cool zipper up the back); James Perse tank; Rag & Bone jeans; Tabitha Simmons shoes; Clare Vivier clutch; Scarf with stars (old – similar here)

Island Vacation Essentials

Heading somewhere fabulous? Tropical locations call for tropical outfits and colors. I’ll be wearing this ensemble when we head to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico in a couple weeks.

James Perse tank; Poupette skirt; Sandals (old – similar here); Natalie B bracelet (old – similar here); Clutch (old – similar here); Necklace (old – similar here)

Night Out Essentials

I love this look for a dressier night out with friends or for date night. The ripped jeans balance the sequins in the top, and the shoes add just the right pop of color. The top is super flowy and loose so it’s perfect with a skinny jean. If you haven’t checked it out yet, the entire Kate Moss collection for Topshop is amazing!

Kate Moss for Topshop tank; Frame jeans; Maison Martin Margiela clutch; Stella McCartney sunnies; Christian Dior shoes (contact The Webster)

Beach Day Essentials

Earphones, Harper’s Bazaar, iPad mini and my favorite book of all time Yoga Sutras of Patanjali are all I need for a day of sun and sand. Don’t forget the sunscreen! I love Kiss My Face brand. The graphic palm tree print on this beach bag is a unique twist on your average tote and also comes in a blue shade. I liked the orange trim and more subtle colors of this one.

Eberjay coverup; Boys + Arrows bikini (contact Scoop NYC or other colors here) Illesteva sunnies; Beach bag; J. Crew espadrilles (old – similar here); Yoga Sutras
